This one is about making mistakes online and how to deal with scammers and tyre kickers.
I too have made mistakes by trying to do ‘business’ with scammers and other online crooks who took my money.
I know it sounds weird, but the key is not to try to avoid mistakes. I do an attempt here to try to explain why you actually need to make a few mistakes to become an online entrepreneur.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying that losing money is what you need to build an online business.
I’m talking about the lesson that goes behind it.
People lose money online because of participation in high yield investment programs (HYIP’s) cyclers, one-push button wonders and hyped shinny crap that promises you financial heaven within a few days.
Avoid all this types of programs like the plague. Learn the lesson.
The key is what you do after you made the mistake:
are you learning the lesson or are you avoiding to learn the lesson?
When I see people blaming and complaining in forums because program after program they joined is taking their money, then they don’t learn the lesson. They simply ignore it and make the same mistake over and over again.
If you are really serious about building a business online, then focus on affiliate and network marketing. Really. There are great and reliable companies out there to work with.
Try to see it this way (at least that is what I did):
When you buy the wrong kind of online stuff, you’re in most cases only buying an empty promise. You buy this stuff because of the temping promises to earn a fortune.
To my experience, learning the lesson, means always keeping control over your money.
When you invest your money in somebody’s else’s promise, you give away the control and access to your money. You see, almost every bad program out there on the internet has the intention that you give them your money and give them control over it as well.

The advantage of affiliate and network marketing is that you are staying in control of almost everything. You don’t need to buy an empty promise, you now can build a real business that makes sales to your customers. You have control over your money to run your business as well as the selling process. Customers pay you to purchase a product. Money flows into your wallet, money flows no longer out of your wallet into the pockets of crooks. Now that is a big difference!
The lesson behind all this is, is that making a mistake is never final as long you’re learning the lesson.
Although I don’t like to make costly mistakes, and probably you won’t either, I’m just a bit grateful that I have made them so I started to focus on the right things!
